Like, Miata drifting through fresh powder on a mountain-top levels of happy.

Not done yet, but compared to the initial rough draft.... Yeah. That’s an improvement.

And then in the flesh-

Th is is a fully-featured roof cleaning/house washing system, that can quickly be reconfigured for a number of other tasks. I’m about 9 0% done with the finished product, then on to testing . The plumbing looks a bit complex, but I was prioritizing ease of use and simplicity on the technicians end, at the expense of a bit more complexity and work on my end. Should take about 5 minutes to fully train a new guy how to use this system. Infinitely better than what my company was using previously.

The water tank drawing is my favorite

Mine too. I hope my boss appreciates it when I turn in my project portfolio a few days late

Is this something you could market and turn into a business? The machine I mean.

Better right then on time, I always say!

It would be tricky. Any other company that wants to do these types of jobs could 100% use all of the same gear, but the actual layout and plumbing would be vastly different each time based on their particular vehicle (which is custom built from the cab back normally) and the other systems on the vehicle, like pressure washing.

Maybe I could just sell the plans and let the business owners determine how to make it work with their particular setup... But I'm unsure how much of a market there is for that.

No idea. I can think of three ways to monetize the design. First would be to patent the design and license it. Second would be to do what you say and sell the plans without patent. That wouldn’t last long before the plans got out and people stopped paying you. Third, you could manufacture and install the system for customers.

None of that accounts for market demand, of which I have no clue.  It’s a cool idea though.

So there is a wave machine in the water tank?

I keep a saw blade in there for convenience

nice. You’re an incredibly industrious person.

Unrelated, what mountain roads near Everett would you recommend? After I get my new tires on Friday, I want to do some recreational driving away from people.

Hmm. Depends how far you’re willing to go. I don’t know where exactly, but I’ve been told numerous times that Bellingham has a ton of great  mountain roads. As far as nearby... Closest good ones I can think of are off highway 2 in skykomish.

Just looked up the area in Google maps. There’s a dirt service road for the power lines, and there’s a paved logging road north of Skykomish. It looks good. :D

Reason I asked is so I could scout the area before winter hits so I know the road.

Drive down highway 2 towards S kykomish, turn left on Beckler Rd. About 500ft past Skykomish, follow Beckler for another 500ft or so then turn left on the first forest service road. Miles and miles of beautiful dirt road to explore, with some truly epic views. I normally spend about 5 hours up there per visit, and it's rare that I see more than one or two other vehicles

Epic. I'll see about getting some shitty dash cam footage of the Queen tearing up that road.
